General description

  • ACU 4001 is a unique machine designed to rapidly prepare welding surfaces for large pressure vessel bases or similar products.  With a maximum dimension of 4000 mm and the maximum weight of 4000 kg, a tremendous range of semi-products can easily be serviced with a single solution.
  • The robust steal construction is ingeniously connected to the rotor shaft to achieve maximum stability and strength, which is crucial to the system’s operating principals, when the bottom is rotating and the torch is stationary. This solution guarantees perfect accuracy along the prepared welding area surface. Extending from the machine’s base is a long steal neck with adjustable cutting torch positioning beam and carriage assembly. The neck of machine ends with head, where the control system is housed.
  • A special koaxial samosvorna gearbox produces a low system RPM and transfers the rotational force from a highly efficient motor to a heavy duty shaft with three radial support arms.
  • The supports are designed to allow the accurate positioning of pressure vessel base holders. This ensures maximum flexibility of product diameters and thickness. The base holders have roller bearings and the integrated magnetic clamps to position a pressure vessel base more easily. The whole solution is so perfect that during a short time period a pressure vessel base of, say, 2000 kg can be set very precisely by only ONE person!
  • The most significant part of the ACU 4001 is the cutting torch carriage. The carriage has a very ingenious and patented construction. The basic advantage is perfect accuracy in positioning of cutting torch. Thanks to this precise carriage mechanism and to the system of gravitational gauges extraordinarily accurate cuts are easy to achieve, including inside and outside bevel cuts at various angles.
  • The machine is usually equipped with an output control switch for plasma cutting sources. It is possible to use flame cutting, but in this case we supply a special set of components for automatic cutting operation. According to our in factory and production results, we highly recommend plasma cutting systems only, based on cut to unit costs.
  • The control system enables perfect automatic cutting process.
