HWR 3300.48

Basic information
- The mechanical construction is tough and simple. The basic steel bed houses a supporting column with integrated drive and control systems. The pressure tower tailstock moves smoothly on the milled bed. Through spindel has
diameter 48 mm, universal chuck 160 mm.
- A variable speed motor controls a drive shank. The motor is connected by a planet gear and toothed belt to the shank that has a flange which allows for the easy mounting of a universal chuck.
- The advantage is the large space between the axis of rotation and the bed. This feature easily accommodates the welding of pipes sets, systems, knees, asymmetrical products, etc...
- The pneumatically controlled arm has a huge range of motion settings; this allows the operator to position the torch holder in the optimal position. The torch arm is fixed on a shaft that can be positioned longitudinally over the entire length of the bed.
- The tailstock movement is so exacting it shows any misalignment within a 0.3mm tolerance. Turning flange of the tailstock is equipped with the same flange as the drive shank.
- The tailstock pressure source can be mechanical or pneumatic.
- HWR uses RCS 5 control system. You find more in RCS 5 control system section.
